In the second part of the first-ever media interview with presidential candidate and former army chief Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, the ex-defence minister said financial assistance from Saudi Arabia and Gulf states since 30 June exceeds $20 billion.
Heaping praise on Saudi’s King Abdullah bin Abdel-Aziz, who he called a great and wise Arab, El-Sisi stressed that part of his plans to finance national projects are through grants from Arab states, who he said understand Egypt’s crisis.
His financial plan encompasses annual contributions from Egyptian expats and attracting domestic and foreign investors, he said in the interview on Monday.
