H. Kong jobless rate unchanged at 3.1% in 3m

Hong Kong’s unemployment rate (seasonally adjusted) was 3.1 per cent in October-December 2024, unchanged from September-November 2024, according to data released by the Census and Statistics Department (C&SD) on Monday. The underemployment rate also held steady at 1.1 per cent during both periods.

Total employment increased by around 7,100, rising from 3,711,800 in September-November 2024 to 3,718,900 during the same reporting period. The labour force remained at 3,832,400, similar to the previous period at 3,831,500.
