H. Kong retail sales decline 7.3% in Nov. ’24

Hong Kong’s total retail sales value decreased 7.3 per cent year-on-year to reach $31.7 billion in November 2024 compared to the same month of 2023, as per provisional data from the Census and Statistics Department (C&SD) on Thursday.

Within the total retail sales value for November 2024, online sales represented 9.3 per cent. The value of online retail sales in November was provisionally estimated at $2.9 billion, a 7.0 per cent decrease compared with November 2023.
