Haier Egypt to start fridge production next Sept.
Haier Egypt will commence the production of refrigerators and deep freezers at its newly-inaugurated facility next Sept., East North of Cairo, Ahmed El-Gendy, the company’s CEO, announced during a meeting with Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly.
The plant, located in 10th of Ramadan City, has seen substantial investment, with $165 million allocated for the first two phases and an additional $65 million for the third phase.
The company is also targeting an extra $50 million in investment to diversify its product range and enhance export opportunities.
As a major global player in home appliances, Haier has benefited from government support, including land provision, a golden license, and other incentives, to establish its industrial complex. This backing highlights the government’s dedication to strengthening the manufacturing sector and achieving its economic goals.
