Egyptian composer Hany Shenouda is set to hit the stage to perform some of his classic works for special guests at the Marquee Theatre in New Cairo on June 16.
Shenouda promised a number of surprises during his upcoming performance, including appearances from indie stars Dina El-Wedidi and Nouran Abutaleb and renowned singer and actress Simone.
The 80-year-old has revolutionised Egyptian pop music during his six-decade career. He is known for collaborating with legendary artists such as Abdel-Halim Hafez and Nagat As-Saghirra. In addition to discovering talents like Amr Diab and Mohamed Mounir.
He also composed music for film, including films for legendary actor Adel Emam, such as El-Mashbouh, El-Moled, El-Hareef, Esabet Hamada W-Toto, and Shams El-Zanaty. Tickets are available at prices ranging from 250 to 800 Egyptian pounds.
