Engineer Hatem Saleh, Egypt’s Minister of Industry and Foreign Trade, said they had agreed with the Iraqi side on extending a pipeline from Iraq to Egypt via Jordon, for the purpose of refining the Iraqi oil in Egypt at investment cost reaches $ 17 billion.
In his statements to the accompanied journalist during the visit to Iraq, the minister elaborated that Egypt will get hefty revenues from this venture and also will benefit the three countries, Egypt, Jordon and Iraq.
Saleh said he is negotiating with the Iraqi Minister of Trade over lifting ban on the Egyptian dairy exports to Iraq, as well as discussing a number of joint ventures during the current visit of Egypt’s Prime Minister to Iraq with 60 businessmen.
