Minister of Industry and Foreign Trade, Hatem Saleh, will top Egypt’s delegation to Turkey, in order to participate in the 14th Musaid International Fair, and the 28th COMCEC (Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation). Turkish President Abdullah Gül is supposed to inaugurate the meetings.
The minister elucidated that the COMCEC meetings this year will discuss implementing the ten-year work program of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. Furthermore, the meetings will review the latest global economic updates and the intra-region trade between the member countries, the prime sectors such as agriculture, tourism, transport and financial cooperation ones. Decreasing poverty, enhancing the role of the private sector in the economic cooperation will be discussed, besides the taking up competitive enhancing the small and medium entrepreneurs in the organization.
Eng. Hatem Saleh will deliver speech during the meeting; tackling the necessity of enhancing the commercial and economic cooperation among the member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
During his visit to Turkey, the minister will meet a number of trade and economy ministers to deepen and expand the cooperation between Egypt and Islamic countries, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Algeria, Morocco, Sudan, Indonesia and Nigeria.
