Amari Abdel Azeem, chairman of tourism agencies in chambers of commerce, said hotel marketing companies negatively affected the Haij and Umrah, resulted in increasing the hotels’ prices in Mecca and Madina Munawara, with a rate ranges between 10-15%.
He elaborated that the Saudi agents raised the Umrah’s visas value only on Egyptian tourism agencies; from 150 to 500 Saudi Riyal, in addition, doubling the flights prices every year from the airlines.
Amari mentioned that he provided the tourism companies a suggestion for constructing a joint-stock company for Haij and Umrah with 250 million Saudi Riyal capital, supervised by tourism ministry. The company will provide residence in Mecca and Madina Munawara, plus transport means.
