HSBC Egypt Stops Online Foreign Currency Service

HSBC Bank Egypt stopped the foreign currency operations through the internet banking service temporarily because of the growing demand for foreign currency in the current period, sources said.

However, the bank still offers its customers the opportunity to submit requests for foreign currency funds through sending messages on its website.

Sources affirmed that HSBC’s branches are ready to meet its customers’ demands for foreign currency funds, in accordance with their availability and the banking instructions and regulations.

It is worth noting that a number of Egyptian expats complained that they could not transfer their salaries in foreign currency through their accounts on HSBC’s website.
