HSBC raises China GDP growth outlook for 2025, 2026

HSBC revised its economic outlook for China on Tuesday, raising its GDP growth forecast for 2025 to 4.8 per cent from a previous estimate of 4.5 per cent. The bank also slightly increased its projection for 2026, expecting growth of 4.5 per cent, up from 4.4 per cent.

The upward revision reflects optimism about China’s economic trajectory, supported by policy measures aimed at stabilising growth and boosting investment.
