Hundreds Protest At Presidential Palace Against Brotherhood

Hundreds gathered at the Ittihadeya presidential palace in Cairo’s Heliopolis district late Friday to protesting what they described as the “Brotherhoodizaion of the state.”

According to Ahram Arabic website, some protesters called for military intervention to end President Morsi’s rule, as rocks were thrown at the presidential palace.

Security presence intensified in the palace’s vicinity and responded by hosing water at the protesters.

Friday witnessed modest anti-government protests.

A demonstration marched from the Sayeda Zeinab district to Tahrir Square and a few hundred gathered at the Supreme Court in response to the call for protest against the Muslim Brotherhood, for the dismissal of the Prosecutor General and demanding the immediate release of all political prisoners.

In Alexnadiria members of the Egyptian Popular Current withdrew from a protest complaining some participants carried banners calling for military rule.
