The Islamic Corporation for the Insurance of Investment and Export Credit (ICIEC) signed a MoU with the Korea Overseas Infrastructure and Urban Development Corporation (KIND) to boost Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects in ICIEC member states and South Korea.
The MoU outlines a commitment from both parties to work together on a variety of PPP projects, with a specific focus on:
Critical infrastructure development: This includes projects related to transport, energy, and water.
Clean energy technologies: Focus will be on promoting renewable energy sources and related technologies.
Renewable energy generation: This collaboration aims to increase sustainable energy production in ICIEC member states.
Urban development initiatives: The MoU also emphasises collaboration on projects that improve urban infrastructure and services.
This deal reflects ICIEC’s ongoing commitment to facilitating investment and promoting sustainable development in its member countries. Both organisations anticipate successful collaboration on impactful projects that align with their shared objectives.
