Egypt’s Industrial Development Authority (IDA) plans to allure investments worth 13 billion Egyptian pounds (US$1.8 billion) to finance six new projects in the Technology Valley region, chairman Ismail Gaber said.
The official revealed to Amwal Al Ghad that the six anticipated projects in the Technology Valley would for the exploitation of Egyptian white sand for the manufacture of solar cells.
He added that projects to exploit white sand are set to be presented among other developmental projects during Egypt’s upcoming economic summit, which will take place next February.
Elsewhere, Gaber further stated that other projects to be tackled during Egypt’s Economic Summit are; the Golden Triangle, the North West Coast Development, and Suez Canal Axis Development.
