Improvised Bomb explodes in front of Cairo University Metro Station; 8 injured

An improvised explosive device exploded on Saturday in front of a metro station near Cairo University.

Eight people were injured during the explosion and sent to nearby hospitals, Health Ministry spokesman Hossam Abdel-Ghafar told Ahram Online.

At least two of the injured are policemen, Abdel-Ghafar stated, adding that the nature of the injuries sustained is not yet clear.
