Indian stocks increased for the fourth consecutive day on Thursday, supported by the anticipation of two interest rate reductions by the Federal Reserve this year in the face of escalating tariff worries.
The NSE Nifty 50 increased 1.24 per cent to end the day at 23,190.65, and the BSE Sensex went up 1.19 per cent to reach 76,348.06. This marks the Nifty’s first closing above 23,000 points since February 13.
