Indian rupee ends slightly higher after volatile session

The Indian rupee ended slightly higher on Wednesday after a volatile trading session, driven by the expiration of positions in the non-deliverable forwards market, exporter transactions, and some dollar selling by foreign banks.

The rupee closed at 85.7050 against the US dollar, a small increase from its last closing rate of 85.7550. During the session, the local currency traded in the range of 85.6850 to 85.89.
