India’s wholesale inflation climbs to 2.37% in Dec.
India’s wholesale inflation increased to 2.37 per cent year-on-year in December, up from 1.89 per cent in November, according to government data released on Tuesday, in line with market forecasts.
Food prices increased by 8.89 per cent last month, slightly lower than the 8.92 per cent rise in November. Vegetable prices rose by 28.65 per cent year-on-year, slightly higher than the previous month’s 28.57 per cent increase.
