Indonesia’s annual inflation rate in May dropped to 2.84 per cent, surpassing expectations and remaining within the central bank’s target range of 1.5 per cent to 3.5 per cent, Reuters reported on Monday.
This marks a decrease from 3.0 per cent inflation in April. A Reuters poll of analysts had predicted a slightly higher rate of 2.94 per cent for May.
The bureau is expected to release core inflation data, which excludes volatile food and energy prices, later today.
