Trade and Industry Minister Mounir Fakhri Abdel-Nour revealed that a green trade project, devised within the framework of a debt swap program between Egypt and Italy, will be implemented at a value of LE 54.9 million.
The project aims at backing Egyptian potentials in exporting fresh agricultural crops to the EU states through collaboration with Italy.
Abdel-Nour’s statement on the matter came during his meeting on Tuesday 12/11/2013 with the Italian Ambassador to Egypt Maurizio Massari. The two sides tackled boosting economic and commercial cooperation between both countries.
They have also talked about increasing joint investments during the upcoming period.
The minister pointed out that the green trade project comprises developing a national system that aims at improving the quality of Egyptian agricultural crops. It also targets developing the transport logistics system.
