Infinity Power targets 10 GW of renewable energy by 2030
Africa’s largest pureplay renewable energy company, Infinity Power, is targeting 10 Gigawatt (GW) of operational renewable energy by 2030, equal to $5 billion investment, as it expected to provide electricity to 12 million homes in the continent.
Infinity Power aims to operate across all corners of Africa within the next 10 years, including transformational projects such as one of the world’s largest onshore wind farms in Egypt.
The company is already power millions of homes and recent strategic additions to its portfolio will enable to make significant progress towards providing clean, its chairman Mohamed Ismail Mansour said.
Africa has the potential to be a global leader in renewable energy. It starts with ensuring every person in every part of Africa has access to electricity, according to Nayer Fouad, CEO of Infinity Power.
