INJAZ Egypt, Philip Morris team up to launch initiative for 2,000 families amid coronavirus
INJAZ Egypt launched a new corporate social responsibility initiative titled – Together today for a brighter tomorrow – in partnership with Philip Morris Misr to provide essential food products for the most vulnerable families who were affected by the drawbacks of coronavirus.
Mireille Youssef, Managing Director of INJAZ Egypt, said in light of the unprecedented situation that Egypt is facing, this initiative aims to reduce the economic implications of the coronavirus spread.
Mireille added that the initiative targets supplying 2,000 of the most vulnerable families whose work was affected by the measures taken to halt the spread of coronavirus.
The initiative will provide them with basic food products as well as assist with any further steps that could be taken to ease their financial burdens in the current situation. Bearing in mind that the COVID-19 pandemic has weakened their chances to find daily jobs and make ends meet.
Moreover, it complements the state’s efforts, with all its sectors, to overcome the spread and the drawbacks of COVID-19 which have resulted in losing thousands of irregular jobs for caretakers.
The managing director of INJAZ Egypt exclaimed her eagerness for this fruitful cooperation between INJAZ and Philip Morris. She stated that the latter company has been always a significant and integral partner in numerous corporate social responsibility projects.
The two partners have cultivated several successful initiatives and have shown merits in the fields of social development and solidarity.
Mireille said: “INJAZ Egypt is an educational and developmental organisation with a comprehensive vision for community development and impacting talent empowerment, incubation, and acceleration.
With this goal in mind, it was essential that we, as a developmental organization, contribute to ease the burden of these vulnerable Egyptian families and stand hand-in-hand with the Egyptian government and people to offer any means of help possible.”
