The first conference and exhibition on Iran-Egypt Economic Cooperation will be held in Olympic Hotel of Tehran on Feb. 19-20.
The event which aims at developing exports of commodities and technical and engineering exports to Egypt will be organized by Iran’s Interest Section in Cairo, Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, related ministries and organizations, IRNA reported.
With respect to the importance of the economic and industrial event, a large number of Egyptian businesspersons and high ranking officials will participate in the exhibition and conference.
On January 10, Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi met Egypt’s President Mohamed Morsi in Cairo and expressed Iran’s readiness to provide the experience it has gained since the victory of the Islamic Revolution to the Egyptian nation.
Salehi extended President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s invitation to Morsi to visit Iran and said Tehran and Cairo “can complement each other”.
Ahmadinejad is expected to visit Cairo in early February.
