Iranian Tourist’s Spending Rate Is 3 Times Than European Counterpart: Zazou

Egypt’s Tourism Minister, Hesham Zazou, said the annual Iranian tourists reach 10 million ones, and the daily spending rate of the Iranian tourist ranges between $170-180.

Zazou, in his statements to “Amwal Al Ghad”, said he is considerate the Salafi movement’s fears of the Iranian tourism; indicating that both Iranian and Egyptian sides agreed on not presenting a program for the religious tourism for the Iranian groups.

“Based on my role in revivifying the Egyptian tourism sector, I have to experience all the ways to attract tourists to Egypt, today became “world of interests”, said Zazou.

He continued saying that we can control the Iranian tourism to Egypt in case of emerging any attempt to spread the Shiite Islam in Egypt by the Iranian groups.

Turkey, Malaysia and Saudi Arabia, even they are Islamic countries, receive as to 900.000 Iranian tourists every year, and there is no Shiite advocacy happened there, said Zazou, adding that he carries out this agreement after the calls of other fellows in Egypt’s tourism sector.
