Israel shuns Paris Gaza aid conference – French Presidency
Israeli representatives will not participate in “humanitarian conference” for Gaza in Paris organised by French President Emmanuel Macron, his office said.
Macron spoke to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday and the pair will talk again once the aid conference is over, the Élysée Palace added.
The French president also spoke to Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and Qatar’s Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani on Tuesday.
According to the palace, both Egypt and Qatar are playing a key role in bringing more aid into the Gaza Strip.
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the Israeli assaults killed more than 10,500 innocent civilians.
The French conference will be held on Thursday on the sidelines of the Paris Peace Forum on Wednesday and Thursday, an annual event launched by Macron.
Calls for a ceasefire have been coming from leaders all over the globe, but Israel has been keeping up with its vicious offensive.
Netanyahu said there will be no fuel delivered to Gaza and no ceasefire unless the hostages are freed.
