The Israeli Shekel is witnessing downward slope since the beginning of Monday, impacted by growing political unrest.
The currency started the day at 3.59 shekel for one U.S. dollar, while the day’s lowest was 3.53 shekel at 5 am (7 UTC). The shekel recorded 3.65 at 1:45 CLT (11:45 UTC), fluctuating till the moment and recording a decrease exceeding 0.5 percent.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu fired his defence minister, Yoav Gallant on Sunday. The discharge was a response to the defence minister challenging the judicial overhaul unfolding.
