Egypt has received an Italian delegation headed by Carlo Calenda – Italy’s Deputy Minister of Economic Development- on Saturday evening. The delegation, encompassing 84 representatives of major Italian companies, comes to Egypt for a 4-day visit to discuss bilateral cooperation.
Diplomatic sources, that received the Italian delegation, stated that the Italian delegation is the largest of its kind as it compasses 84 firms working in sectors of industry and trade, investing in projects of infrastructure, oil and gas, manufacturing industries, and energy besides representatives of Italy’s biggest banks.
“During the visit, the two parties will agree on number of important economic projects as well as raising fundamental cooperation between two countries” the sources added
Moreover, the sources clarified that the delegation would participate in the Egyptian-Italian Business Forum and visit the site of the New Suez Canal project which seizes the lion’s share of Italian business concerns.
