The Italian Ambassador to Egypt, Claudio Pacifico affirmed that the Italian government has been long interested in supporting the Egyptian people especially those who suffer the most. The Italian government allocated EGP 380 million for the establishment of labor-intensive projects in Egypt to contribute to creating job opportunities and providing basic goods for the Egyptians.
Pacifico said Italy is ready to establish many projects including the metal silo project to which many countries are contributing such as France and Denmark. Italy is Egypt’s first trade partner among the European Union countries in the current period.
The Italian Ambassador confirmed that Italy is interested in setting up developmental and social projects in Egypt. Italy constructed and opened a bakeries complex in Sheikh Zayed after last year’s revolution in a record time.
These efforts manifest the strong Egyptian-Italian relations and Italy’s concern to help Egypt develop and meet its needs in the current period.
