Japan to invest $1.28b in semiconductor startup Rapids

The Japanese government is set to invest 200 billion yen ($1.28 billion) in semiconductor startup Rapidus during the fiscal year starting April 2025.

This significant investment aims to accelerate Rapidus’ efforts to achieve commercial production of advanced semiconductor chips by 2027, the Nikkei Business Daily reported.
