Japan’s business-to-business prices rose by 2.1 per cent year-on-year (YoY) in January, slowing down from the 2.4 per cent annual increase seen in December, according to the Bank of Japan data on Monday.
Moreover, the BOJ is keeping an eye on the movement of service prices to assess whether there is a broadening of inflationary pressure in the economy, which could potentially justify scaling back its extensive stimulus measures, according to Reuters.
