Japan’s jobless rate holds in Jan ’25

Japan’s national unemployment rate remained steady at 2.5 per cent in January, the same as the previous month, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications on Tuesday.

The ministry reported that the number of employed individuals had reached 67.79 million, showing an increase of 650,000 compared to the same month last year. This growth marked 30 consecutive months of expansion.
