Egyptian Industry Minister Tarek Qabil met Saturday with a delegation from Japanese power corporation Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems to discuss establishing projects in Egypt within the coming period. The mission was headed by firm’s President and CEO, Takato Nishizawa .
Minister Qabil said that mission’s visit comes to follow up the meeting of the company with Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi during his visit to Japan in January 2016.
During the meeting, Qabil discussed the possibility that the Japanese firm could participate in joint projects in Egypt notably in fields of shipyards, iron and steel, coal power, and water desalination.
Industry ministry is care to make use of the enormous technological potentials that Mitsubishi Hitachi owns and apply them to the Egyptian industries to boost their competiveness whether in local or global markets, the minister added.
