Japan’s producer prices index rises slightly in Nov. ’24

Japan’s Producer Price Index (PPI) edged up 0.3 per cent month-over-month in November 2024, the Bank of Japan (BOJ) said in a preliminary report. Excluding extra charges for summer electricity, the index rose 0.3 per cent month-over-month.

Meanwhile, the Export Price Index rose 0.2 per cent month-over-month. Conversely, the Import Price Index declined 0.5 per cent over the same period, according to the bank’s data.
