The total volume of Egypt’s joint projects with China in power, housing, sewage, transport, and manufacturing solar panels fields is estimated at US$7.5 billion, Cabinet Spokesman stated Wednesday.
Hossam Qaweesh added that Prime Minister Sherif Ismail headed the meeting of Cabinet’s China Unit held yesterday with the attendance of ministers of housing, electricity, international cooperation, oil, industry and trade, transport, military production, and investment.
The meeting discussed the situation of Egyptian-Chinese joint projects in different services and developmental fields, Qaweesh noted, adding that these projects come as pursuant to the remarkable bilateral ties between two states.
The execution of these projects copes with government’s economic reform programme that targets developing infrastructure, enhancing growth rates, creating more job opportunities, and upgrading living standards of the Egyptian citizens, the spokesman clarified.
