The total volume of trade exchange between Egypt and Jordan reached around US$223.6 million during the first half of 2016.
Head of Egyptian Commercial Service Office in the Jordanian capital Amman, Abeer Kamal, stated Thursday that Egyptian exports to Jordan witnessed a leap in January-June 2016 as they recorded US$188.6 million versus Jordanian imports estimated at US$35 million.
The Egyptian exports to Jordan included copper wires, dairy products, orange, lemon, ceramic, heaters, cookers, and TV sets, the official clarified.
She asserted that Egypt keens on developing and boosting the volume of trade exchange with Jordan besides enhancing the economic partnership through creating new commercial channels.
