Egyptian giant dairy producer Juhayna sees $562mn sales in 2015

Juhayna (JUFO.CA), one of Egypt’s largest dairy products and juices producer, is expecting total sales worth 4.4 billion Egyptian pounds (US$562 million) in 2015, said head of media and communication Passant Fouad on Wednesday.

Fouad added that the group had recently reinforced its investments in subsidiaries. Juhayna’s investments in the South Valley region have recorded 850 million pounds, she added, referring to plans to boost dairy production capacity.

Total investments in livestock sector have exceeded 400 million pounds during 2015, Fouad added.

Meanwhile, Juhayna recorded a 60 percent rise in its 9-month net profit that reached 218.6 million pounds, from 136.773 million pounds in the same period a year in 2014.
