Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohamed Amr, met today Dr Tedros Adhanom, the Ethiopian Minister of Foreign Affairs, on the sidelines of the African Summit in Addis Ababa.
The interview tackled the bilateral relations between the two countries, at the current time, over the joint cooperation in fields of trade, exchanging investments, education, agriculture and health.
Amr confirmed that opening the highway between Egypt and Sudan within few months will contribute to enhancing the trade among Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia, as it will connect between the three countries.
The two ministers agreed on preparing for holding the 5th events of the joint committee between the two countries in 2013, which synchronizes with passing 85 years on establishing the diplomatic relations between Egypt and Ethiopia.
The meeting also tackled the regional issues that have joint interest. Therefore, the two ministers agreed on coordinating between the two countries in order to compromising the views between Sudan and South Sudan. The developments in Somalia and conditions in Africa were also taken up.
