Kate Winslet’s iconic ‘Titanic’ overcoat up for auction

Kate Winslet’s iconic pink wool overcoat which she wore in the 1997 blockbuster film Titanic, is up for auction online by NJ-based collectibles auctioneer Goldin until September 13, 2023.

The coat is expected to fetch over $100,000, it was designed by Deborah Lynn Scott, and features black embroidery and water stains from filming.

Winslet wore it in the movie’s sinking scenes when her character, Rose, rescues Jack, played by Leonardo DiCaprio.

Titanic was the first film ever to surpass a billion dollars in earnings and it remains a cultural milestone.

The movies has its place in cinematic history with its 14 Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture and Best Costume Design.
