KOICA backs technical education in Upper Egypt

The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), in collaboration with Egypt’s Beni Suef Technological University (BTU), organised the 2025 Graduates Job Fair and Capstone Project Exhibition to support technical education in Egypt.

The initiative, supported through two flagship projects funded by KOICA since 2016, reflects over $14 million in contributions from the South Korean government towards enhancing university-level technological curricula in Egypt, the Agency said.

The event, held at BTU, aimed to bridge the gap between academic training and the job market. The Exhibition featured 26 graduation projects, drawing strong interest from investors and potential employers. It also provided students with valuable opportunities to network with industry leaders and explore employment prospects.

BTU President Jean Henri opened the event by emphasising the importance of academia-industry collaboration and encouraged companies to connect with students. “I invite our industrial partners to take advantage of this conference, speak with our talented students, and benefit from their skills and creativity,” he said.
