Kurdish fighters recaptured a strategic town in northeastern Syria

According to a Syrian opposition source, the Kurdish People’s Protection Units, known as YPG, and backed by Assyrian Christians, have regained control over the town of Tal Hamees in Hasakah province. A spokesman for the YPG has hailed the recapture of the town as a great victory, because it cuts a key supply route for the ISIL from Iraq. He added that Kurdish fighters are also advancing against the terrorists in neighboring towns. YPG forces have made several territorial achievements against the ISIL, since liberating the Kurdish border town of Kobani following months of clashes with the Takfiri terrorists.
