Anas Al-Saleh, Kuwait’s commerce and industry minister has said the government is set to issue ‘in the near future’ a draft law to establish a regulatory body for the insurance sector. “It is necessary to reconsider the organization of the insurance sector,” Al-Saleh said, indicating that the presence of insurance sector in the ministry “does not rise to the level of ambition we seek to establish a body concerned with the affairs of insurance,” according to KUNA.
