EMAC Contracting, an affiliate of Kuwait’s Al Kharafi and Sons Group, says it plans to execute a bunch of road flagships in Egypt’s new administrative capital, 40km (24.8 miles) east of Cairo, within the upcoming period.
The company also seeks to increase the accomplishment rates of a number of infrastructure projects that are being carried out in the new capital city, its chief executive Samir Fathy said Wednesday.
“The current year will witness delivering seven road projects in the new cities of Obour and New Cairo, as part of the company’s infrastructure projects, which are being implemented in the local market,” Fathy further added.
“EMAC’s current total contracts reached around 2 billion pounds,” he said.
New Cairo is located on the southeastern edge of Cairo governorate, 25km (15.5 miles) from Maadi and Obour City is located in Qalyubia governorate, 35km (21.7 miles) northeast of Cairo.
