Kyrgyzstan’s gold exports reached $639.6 million from January to August this year, according to the country’s National Statistical Committee (NSC).
The country exported a total of 8.72 tons of gold during the reporting period, with Britain being the main buyer, purchasing 5.89 tons.
Switzerland and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) followed as the next largest buyers, purchasing 971.5 kg and 13.5 kg respectively.
Kyrgyzstan’s gold exports in the same period last year amounted to 8.717 tons worth $545.2 million.
