The world’s biggest cement maker, Lafarge SA (LG) has signed on Thursday a cooperation protocol with the Egypt’s Housing & Building National Research Center (HBRC). Phillip Moran, Head of Housing Sector at Lafarge, stated that the cooperation protocol aims to exchange expertise between the company and HBRC so as to work on enhancing the building process in villages and the countryside alongside renovating houses by using silt mixed with cement.
Moran emphasized that Lafarge is currently conducting studies on the usage of cement mixture in ready-mix concrete manufacturing process through adopting the nanotechnology. He further referred that the final results of the study shall be reached within 3 years from now.
