Land Encroachment in Sadat City Reaches 54.000 Acres

An official source in New Urban Community Authority, affiliated to the ministry of housing, revealed that the encroachment on state’s lands in Sadat City has increased; from 17.000 to 54.000 during 2102.

The source said Dr. Mohamed Fathey ELBaradei issued a decision in 25 October, 2011 of eradicating the land encroachment in Sadat City; but the decision hasn’t implemented so far.

As for the dispute between the New Urban Community Authority and GARPAD, the sources said Eng. Mohamed Reda Ismail, the minister of agriculture talked to the Urban Community Authority last May; assuring that the authority possesses the lands, and they weren’t assigned to the ministry of agriculture.
