Lebanese entrepreneurs eye stronger trade ties with Russia
Lebanese businessmen are showing a strong interest in boosting trade and economic relations with Russia, focussing on several promising sectors for bilateral cooperation.
Jacques Sarraf, Chairman of the Lebanese-Russian Business Council and Honorary Russian Consul in Tripoli, North Lebanon, highlighted Lebanon’s strategic geographical position, which he believes provides unique opportunities for establishing businesses across the Middle East and beyond.
Sarraf pointed out that the real estate market, tourism, and information technology sectors are particularly attractive for Russian investors.
Additionally, he emphasised the potential for collaboration in the development of offshore oil and gas fields as well as the implementation of large-scale infrastructure projects, such as the construction of bridges, tunnels, and ports.
These sectors, he suggested, could serve as significant drivers for strengthening the economic partnership between Lebanon and Russia.
