Lebanon confirms first coronavirus death of citizen returned from Egypt
Lebanon announced on Tuesday the first death from coronavirus as local broadcasters said the patient was in quarantine after returning from Egypt, Reuters reported.
The man, 56, had suffered from a chronic illness and been in quarantine in a Beirut state hospital, a health ministry official stated.
The Lebanese government has suspended flights for non-residents from epicentres of the flu-like virus, shut schools and warned against any public gatherings as the total number of infections surged to 41 as of this week.
