Libya’s eastern-based government cuts diplomatic ties with Qatar

Libya’s eastern-based government has decided to cut diplomatic relations with Qatar, its Foreign Minister announced Monday.

This followed a similar decided taken this morning by Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain to sever their ties with Qatar, accusing it of supporting terrorism, opening up the worst rift in years among some of the most powerful states in the Arab world.
