Litigation Demands Deposing President Morsi for Violating Constitution

Lawyer Mahmoud Abdel Atty brought a lawsuit before the Administrative Judiciary Court in State’s Council; calling for deposing Dr Mohamed Morsi from the president post, and taking the legal measures against him, as he abstained from implementing the Supreme Constitutional court verdict of canceling the People’s Assembly.

The lawyer, in his lawsuit No. 53198/66, disputed with both of the chairman of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF) and the president; referring that although Morsi had sworn that he will respect the constitution and law, but he violated his oath and surprised Egyptians by issuing decision No. 11/2012 of reinstating the PA.

He added that Morsi’s decision is an admission of the constitutional declaration, by which he sworn the oath, so he degraded himself from the president post; whereas he violated the legislation because he canceled the constitution by which he was elected.
