In their continued efforts to provide greater support to their professional customers, and ensure that they are able to best meet their business potential, Makro Egypt, recently announced the introduction of two new services; electronic payment for purchases and delivery.
The electronic payment option was recently introduced to Makro’s Qalyubiya store allowing customers, for the first time to pay electronically. Recognizing the need to offer greater support to their customers in light of the current economic situation and reduction in cash flow amongst businesses, the Qalubiya store now accepts Visa, Mastercard and debit card payments. Additionally, the company’s latest value-added service of delivery will allow professionals across Egypt to access Makro’s products, even if they are too far away to visit the store.
Talking about the decision to introduce these new services to the Egyptian market, Managing Director of Makro Egypt, Francois Oliver, said “We are constantly working to ensure that we provide our customers with all the tools they need to make their businesses successful. By introducing electronic payments at our Qalyubiya store, we provide our customers with yet another option, allowing them to make larger purchases that they might not necessarily be comfortable making, if they had to pay in cash. Already, we have seen a remarkable increase in office and home product sales; a direct result of the introduction of visa payments.” Commenting on the new delivery service, he continued “We know that time is precious, particularly when you’re trying to run a business. By introducing delivery, we help our customers increase their operational efficiency; ensuring that when they cannot make it to our stores, they can still access everything they need to successfully develop their business.”
Since entering the market, Makro Egypt has worked extensively to provide support to its professional customers; ensuring they have everything they need to make their business a success. The introduction of visa payment and home delivery, are just two, in a long line of initiatives which will help Egyptians in expanding and growing their business.
