Germany will join Egypt’s Economic Summit with a high-profile mission headed by Sigmar Gabriel – German Vice-chancellor- encompassing representatives of 80 large German firms, Egyptian Ambassador to Germany Mohamed Higazy said.
With the theme of ‘Egypt the Future’, Egypt’s Economic Development Conference (EEDC) will take place on March 13-15 in Sharm El-Sheikh.
In a statement released by Egypt’s Foreign Affairs Ministry, Higazy added that the delegation also encompasses Ilse Aigner – Bavarian State Minister of Economic Affairs and Media, Energy and Technology as well as Deputy Minister-President of Bavaria in addition to a number of political figures.
The delegation includes representatives of large German firms like Thyssen Krupp- the German multinational conglomerate corporation, BASF – the largest chemical producer in the world, Siemens – the largest engineering company in Europe, Daimler – the German multinational automotive corporation, RWE – one of Europe’s five leading electricity and gas companies, Bavarian Auto, Allianz SE – multinational financial services company, the Linde Group – multinational industrial gases and engineering company, and other large famous firms.
